About Channeling and Discernment

Channeling is seen by many as spooky, unreal, ungodly and even evil. One of the best definitions of channeling is “The divine and inspired words of God as imparted to humans by humans”.

If we look at our history on this planet and most all of the ancient scriptures that have been written over the course of our existence we can began to understand that most all of these were channeled. This encompasses all religions. If you ask, most biblical scholars and religious leaders will tell you that the bible was written through the divine inspiration of God. What does this mean actually? Does this mean God came down and sat at a desk and scribed the text we now find in the bible? No, this means that humans sat down and were inspired by the spirit to write the text. What is God; becomes the question. Foe each of us God is many things. Whether you call God’s name as YHWH, Lord, Jehovah, Allah, Jah, or Shangdi there is an agreement that it is spirit. Each culture and belief raises the spirit of God to its highest level of worship. In the Christian faith, it is said that the Holy Spirit inspired the bible. Therefore, besides just God there are spirits, saints, and angels. The key thing to keep in mind is that humans did the scribing and spirit spoke through them with the words. This is proof that channeling has been going on for many thousands of years. What might deduce since the beginning of man himself.

We can take this a step further and apply channeling to some of the greatest painters, artists, and musician of our history. Many claimed to be inspired.

Through time we have been used to having "authorized and sanctioned" men and women of God passing information to us. This has been out of the reach of the general population. With the coming of the “New Age” and the many psychics, people channeling, cards readings, intuitive healers we have associated not only channeling but also many other spiritually connected people with the “WooWoo” magic. If you research, deep enough, you will also find that most of these “New Age” spiritual modalities are also not new to this time and have been around as long as spiritually inspired people have been.

In this New Age, where the actual basic intent of the New Age Master of Love is beginning to surface (that of self enablement for those other than the authorized and sanctioned religious leaders), we are seeing more and more of the general population passing on the information of God and Spirit.

To believe that God stopped speaking to humans 2,000 years ago would be to say in many ways that God has forsaken us. To believe this as true is to deny our own divinity or to believe that the past ONLY held some special sacredness. God is not about time, for there is no time in true reality.

Who is it that has the ability to channel? The answer is simple, anyone. It is not some sacred ritual for the select few. Spirit is not selective and prejudice in this regard. Channeling is for everyone! However, intent of the person is everything. Remember, not all channeling (like many things in our culture) is real. It must be given with pure intent, love, and openness. If you listen to yourself and look deep within, your intuition, you will know truth when you hear it. Does it bring a positive message? Is it given in love? Is it open to examination? How does it make you feel as you hear it? These important questions should be asked and in many ways felt by the listeners. Remember, God and Spirit is love, giving, and open to all. It is not for the few, it is for everyone.

Some guidelines and questions to help you in the discernment concerning channeling and spirituality. What is the intent of the human speaking? Is there any ego or a human agenda? If so, then this is probably not genuine. Does your intuition and the energy being presented have a feel of comfort? Can you identify with entity or entities that are channeling? If these basic questions do not come across with the right answers, then pass on the session.
