Reconnecting, & Remembering, To Trust Yourself

Pain is a message of imbalance from the body.  As is sorrow, soreness, aching, stress, fatigue, or tension.  Our body talks to us daily, sometimes we listen, sometimes we do not.  Often we ignore these messages that try to bring us awareness of imbalance within our body system.   We at times even take pride in building our threshold of tolerance to pain or discomfort.  We get caught up in living from our “outer” bravado and put little credibility, effort, or time, towards truly listening to the messages of our body.  We do this without realizing that we are stifling our inner voice.  We stifle the inner guidance system of innate wisdom that is our body.  Our body is an amazing, living, breathing, dynamic organism of life that naturally moves towards a state of homeostasis (balance and healing).   It is a system that is self-healing when we support it and allow it to be.   But all to often we choose instead to ignore it until imbalance gets too great, and quite often results in dis-ease.

When you listen to your body, you will find that it has a lot to say! The body does not necessarily speak the same language as the mind.  The body is the voice of feelings.  Whether we choose to stifle or acknowledge our feelings, they will speak through the body one way or another.  It can be the communication of a smile when we feel happy, a frown when we feel down, giddiness when we are excited, or perhaps a sense of emptiness or unfulfillment when we are sorrowful.  Our body is the gauging mechanism of our life.  Our body will speak to us of the truths that we hold within regardless of whether we listen or not.  We often find ourselves seeking, searching, and looking for more.   Not realizing that perhaps the more that we are looking for are those parts of ourselves that we stopped listening to.  Those parts of our self that created feelings within the body that we did not, or perhaps still do not, want to hear or know about.  However, when you choose to listen, and respond with awareness and acknowledgement, you move into a territory of working in synchronicity.  You start to learn to trust yourself, to facilitate a blending of body, mind, and spirit, a living from a holistic state of mind and being.  There are many modalities available to help you move closer to yourself, to your innate wisdom.  Each offers something, or someone, unique to facilitate your choice towards wholeness and wellness.  May the choice for peace and love within yourself be your motivation and your guiding light!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?"

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God! Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
